Should an ex-partner go to the funeral of the deceased?

Do you think it is acceptable for an ex-partner of a deceased to attend a funeral, after they seperated on bad terms?
Would you go if you were in that position?

Out of respect for the family I would not go. It would only cause problems and that is not the time nor the place to start trouble.
