Intelligence Quotient

IQ stands for Intelligence Quotient...basically a complex formula where the variables are gained through testing a person on several different levels then inputting those variables into the formula to come up with a number which represents the person's reasonable level of intelligence. Those with a lower number will be less able to retain and learn things, whereas those with higher numbers are capable of much higher learning, and reasoning. Nitice though I did say "capable of" because in no way can IQ be mistaken for common sense. Some people with very high IQ's have very little common sense even though they could probably tell you what pi is all way to the thousandth digit...
