I have seen so many discussions today about peoples ratings dropping, my only thought must be that mylot is finally deleting a whole load of discussions that are nonsensical, or against ther guidelines in some way. Or maybe peoples posts werent up to scratch and now they are being deleted. Whatever the reason peoples ratings seem to be dropping like flies, and I can only assume that this drop will be reflected in their earnings once they update them... Whats everyone elses views?

Well thankfully mine are going slowly up just as they are meant to! lol Good on mylot if this is what they are doing! It's about time...maybe then we can have some good discussions up on the board instead of being flooded with cr*p! When people actually realise they will be penalised for breaking the rules they may stop doing it!

With any luck they will actually supervise properly! So that yes/no posts, repeat threads etc etc will get deleted and affect ratings but if you are having a bit of a conversation with someone you can give a short reply...Say like this one then you say "Yep - that's what I meant" or something...I dunno! lol

Yeah exactly, short responses when in context are fine, however its posts like the one below and others that make genuine members to afraid to post shorter comments, even when relevant...

I hope Mylot is cleaning up. I joined a few days ago to talk and have fun (just like everyone else) and I've seen more spam than actual discussions. It's annoying. I would like to talk about general things, like movies, video games, ect. I know that I can make discussions about those things, but I don't have a set idea for a topic that would make people stay. They would just post once then leave. I hate that. Another thing is that there are a ton of repeat threads and barely any new topics. For example: there are a ton of threads about the video game console competion and barely any about video games in general. It's hard to talk to people through all of the spam.

All the spam gets in the way I completely agree with you. I wake up to say 90 responses in ten of my discussions and at least 80-85 of them are usless spam, but I can nevr be botheredw ading through all the spam to try and find the useful responses to my discussions- is that horrible of me?

No that's ok because, unfortunately, it would be a waste of time to go through all the spam. I feel sorry for the people who did post reseaonable stuff that never gets to be read. (I hope that makes sense. lol )

Probably means you may have to write a little more than one sentence, and add something to the discussion in future hey?
