I am from India. My favorite actor is undoubtedly Mr.Amitba Bacchan. I like his acting and his lovely voice with a strong base, with which he delivers his dialogues.Presence of his statue in Madam Tassad's Museum is in it self explains his popularity in masses. Born to Harvanshray Bacchan and Teji Bcchan in Allahabad, amiatabh wanted to become Radio Announcer after completing his education from Himachal Pradesh and Delhi. But surprisingly there the authorities have rejected him saying that his voice is unfit for announcement, same way he was initially rejected in the film world for his above average height. Later on these two things only have fetched name and fame ! Ofcourse he had guts and still have guts to enact any scene with an ease. His first movie was Saath Hindustani, which was not a super hit and people hardly could recgnise him as an actor. Reshma aur Shera and Anand were the movies followed this movie where people just felt that Ok he is another upcoming Actor ! But his powerful action in Zanzeer made every Indian to become his fan ! There after he never has seen back ! Though he had bit ups and downs in his career after meeting with an accident in film 'Coolie' he could pick up himself with "Aakhri Rasta!", after giving a few flops like Jadugar and ShehanShah ! There after as an actor hehas started his second innings and he is much more successful than in his first innings ! He has given excellent movies like 'Black', 'Baagban', 'Babul' and many more in his second innings! At the time of his accident in the coolie and in the recent past when he underwent for surgery, practically the whole nation was praying for his early and quick recovery! I don't think any body else must have had this type of fan following and its hard to have in future too ! Your Opinion?

Aamir was born into a film-industry clan. His father Tahir Hussain is a producer; his uncle Nasir Hussain was a director. He has acted in a few films directed by his cousin Mansoor Khan. He is the brother of Faisal Khan, with whom he acted in the 2000 film Mela. He is the cousin of Tariq of the Yaadon Ki Baraat and Hum Kisise Kum Nahin fame.
Aamir began his career as a child actor in the films Yaadon Ki Baraat (1973), Madhosh (1974) and Holi (1984).
In 1988 he gained stardom in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak which was his first leading role. He followed this with many other films in the 1990s which either did well at the box office or flopped. After his debut his most successful films included Dil (1990), Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander (1992), Rangeela (1995) and Raja Hindustani (1996).
He acted as well as wrote the screenplay for the film Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke (1993). He has also done playback singing for himself in Ghulam (1998). He appeared in Deepa Mehta's film Earth as the "Ice Candy Man".
Aamir is known for his efforts to create believable characters, rather than just playing himself in film after film. He will go to great lengths to give a convincing portrayal -- including, it is said, drinking heavily in order to play a drunken scene in Raja Hindustani (1996), even though he doesn't drink in real life.
In 2001 he turned to producing and his first production was the period epic Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India in which he also starred. This film was one of the biggest hits of 2001 and was nominated for many awards including the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
After a 3-year hiatus he returned in another historical epic Mangal Pandey: The Rising which also did well but was not as successful as Lagaan.
His next release Rang De Basanti (2006) was one of the highest grossing films of 2006 and has also been selected as India's official entry to the Oscars in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
