about it. Do you have any enlightening tid-bits to offer? Know something even remotely fascinating about it? Is it a dark art that Christians should avoid? I am devouring anything you might have to say about it.

The study of the ESOTERIC is the study of the hidden or widely unknown.
As for advice, going into esoteric study keep an open mind since alot of the things that you thought that you knew were true you will find them to be false, but allow yourself not to be taken as a fool since there are alot of "SChools of Thought" out there that are scams and lead to a cult mantality, those you will want to avoid unless that is what you are looking for.
As for the Christian view of it. Most Christians rebel feircly against anything that does not go with what they have been dictated as their faith, so do not be surprised if you get shunned for such studies but remember that the Bible is very Esoteric in and of itself. So when these Christians start to shun you remember the words of William Blake. "Tho both read the Bible day and night, where they read black I read white." Study of the esoteric allows you to not only read the words but also between the words.
Thank you for the great discussion and have a great day!!

And thank you for some very good food for thought! I can see why you have a quality rating of 10!
Everything is always so "cut and dried" with my family. I can never seem to get them to see things in a different way because they have long ago decided that this is like this or that is like that. You understand.
Thanks again!

Thank you for the Best Response and am glad that I could be of some help to you.
I have been studying the Esoteric for many years and I am much better off for it as it has opened my eyes to so many different facets of reality that I have never seen before, being raised as a Christian Minister's son.
Have a great day and remember that if you "Love to learn you will learn to Love" since everything is much brighter when you take off the "Blinders' of Dogma and Creed and allow the truth to shine through.
