Aren't you proud of your country? I never thought that we were any more patriotic than any other country, judging from a world stage such as the Olympics. Actually, there are plenty of ethnic festivals that go on all over the US, so maybe that's one reason that we are patriotic. Because we can celebrate where we came from and the fact that we are all here together. Sure, people are going to slam us and talk about all the bad things. All countries have bad things. I'm proud because the US does try to help other nations. As a 1st world nation, I think that we are obligated to do that. Do we look out for our interests in the international ring? Sure. It would be unwise not to. I just see it as a business decision which is what all countries do. I'm proud because we do have plenty of liberties, which unfortunately too many will take unfair advantage of and of course look for ways around the system. I'm sure that all countries have that, too. I love my country because I am here and I am happy. Aloha!
