I have a laptop but the screen is cracked. I hooked it to a regular desktop monitor and it works fine for me, however, I am looking to buy a new computer and I need to know how to load the info from my laptop to a desktop. I'm sure that there is some sort of cable I can buy but I don't have a clue what kind. Does anyone know what I need to do? The computer is a laptop Toshiba A10 Satelite.

The easiest way today is go buy a jump drive, it plugs into a USB prt and can hold up to 512MB if you want to buy one that expensive. you can buy a cheaper one and do several exchanges. Put all it will hold on one jump drive then load it to the new pc. Then use the jump drive again to put the rest of the material on it and load it to the other computer. Of course you can always burn cd's with the stuff you want to load on the new pc too.
