Has anyone ever called you fat?

I know the feeling of being fat.My friend who has a large stomach will be commented by others.So,many times he cried in front of me so i know the feeling,you also take it easy and say to them that you ask them what is the treatment should be taken for jovial.Then they will shut their mouth.

Yes. I have, by very hurtful people. I am a very bold, outward person, and I acted like it didn't hurt me. But it really did, very deeply. In fact, I stopped eating alltogether and got very, very sick due to flippant comments like I was too fat. I was lucky I was able to get out of it. But I needed severe counselling and had to be hspitalised at one stage. Although I've lost weight and I'm told I'm 'Not fat anymore', I'm still scarred from it. I haven't put on a bathing suit for years, I don't let my bare legs show, and I always view myself as too fat for anything.

Yes, When I was in school, I was fat and classmates and relatives used to call me by different names like King Kong, Hercules, fatbum etc. I was feeling very bad. When I came to college, I joined gym and started jogging. I maintained the weight and now it is very apt.

No, Nobody called me fat. Im always on skinny side growing up. But other weekend, my oldest nephew came up and ask me if I have a baby in my belly......... I was shocked. I just finishing eating big meal at my mother in law's house and I ate little too much..... I know my belly area start to build up some fat around it but I got little upset by my nephew's comment.

Between 8 years and 20 years, I was fat due to excess eating and use of fat foods, junk foods. Now after rigorous exercise, and healthy food habits, I have reduced the weight. You cannot help being called fat behind you. Just ignore.

i get called fat all the time.i know i am so when people call me that i just let it go.i guess people that call others fat dont realize that fat people have feelings just as well as anyone else.

I'm sorry to hear that. I don't understand how people can be so incensitive sometimes. It's like they don't understand people have feelings and words do hurt. Hugs.

Yes, I was overweight as kid. But what was worse was after I lost the weight & (years later) got pregnant. When I started to show some people thought I was getting fat again & suggested exercising more, eating healthier, all that stuff. But once I was ready to pop I wasn't "fat" anymore to everyone - just pregnant. LOL.
