DO YOU USE FREECYCLE IN YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY? / myLot

Ok, Im curious, I am a member of my local freecyle group that is in my community. For those of you who dont know what freecycle is, it is a group that I joined through Yahoo Groups, that joins people in the community who want to give good useable items away for free, or you can post yourself something that you want to give away or post something that you may be looking for. I really like this group, and it's intent is to bring the community closer together. Try it out if you havent you would be surprised at what you will find.

freecycle - a social group or set of groups that can utilize items that would be lost and not used. normally well run and managed mostly from within, the moderators often remind all of the rules.

I asked a similar question and got hardly a response too. So lets hope that you get better results.. I belong to my county and my surrounding counties too. It has helped me get our lives back a bit since our housefire and so is a very useful tool to rid and acquire items that would otherwise end up in the landfill. A sad ending to useful items.

I do. A lot. Thats where I get a lot of my little girls clothing, and thats how I got her snow boots. I also got my bedroom set and coffee table from freecycle. I love it! After she grows out of the clothing I have collected from freecycle, we always re freecycle them. I LOVE freecycle!
