I live 11 miles west of the great and beautiful city of Philadelphia and I love that that show is set in Philly and they show the REAL city and its outkirts. I also like the music they choose. I think it was the only TV show Springstein ever allowed to use his songs as background. (He's a Jersy boy so he probably likes to see Philly on TV too)

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize it was in Philly. I probably heard it but not paid attention. Thanks for commenting!

Yep, it's definitely set in Philly and it's a very good representation too....I just realized I managed to mis-spell Springsteen & Jersey (Sorry, Bruce)...I have to start using that edit button.

I love the way they walk us through the case just as they would have to do it and tell the story through flashbacks of memories of the various people they question. I very seldom guess who the killer really was until I'm shown. I like that in a mystery, because too often the story is so transparent that I know the solution long before the conclusion.

I like how it's a big puzzle. They have to try and peice together information from sometimes years and years ago.

I think they do a great job of recreating the time period they are portraying. Not only with the music, but the period dress is right on for the times. At least the times that I have lived in (1950-07). I like how they have not gotten into having the women in the office get into the stereotypical cat fights. The people actually like each other and care about each other. And, Thom Berry is da bomb!

my favourite part about cold case is the flash backs and how the use the music of the time. They just try to set the scene. The fact that the families get closure is a bonus. Man i really like the flash back part lol
