Interior decorating

How much do you know about decorating the inside of a house, especially a lounge. I like neutral colours but also bright colours as well. I was thinking of a fawn carpet, cream and fawn lounge suite, plain cream curtains, and then a few brightly coloured accessories. Any suggestions please.

It is hard to give you an advice without seeing your space. Colors can make room smaller of bigger, but also will have dramatic influence over your mood. Think twice.

As far as colour combinations are concerned, always use soft pastel paints for the kid's bedroom. Floral or cartoon motifs can be added to the same. You can alwyys seek the assistance of a professional decorator if you think that this work is not your forte.

I think you are trying to make the whole composition very dull as the use of nuetral colors in your compostion is too much.Just by using some bright accesories may not help to give the space a lively impact.I think you can create some bright niches and lite them up as light also plays a major role as the colour themes do..
