Have you ever wonder why is Santa dressed in red and white? Is there any specific explaination of his colored robe? I have heard that it is the same color with Coca-Cola, and, Santa is a way to promote that soft drink (Though, I would believe this is more of a joke than reality) So, what do you think?.. Why is he in red and white? I would luv to find some answers to this. Thanx and Happy Christmas!

Santa Claus is traditionally represented in a red cloak with white fur trimmings, a reference to St Nicholas, who reputably performed his charitable acts dressed in his red bishop's robes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_claus

I would assume that if it is in Wiki, the chance are very high that this is the accepted fact by the majority in the world, ya?..

Hehehe! a lot of theory on this??? but the one abt coca-cola is by the far the most interesting one whether it is true or not... i think i got an email some time ago with that version... never really thought abt it. I don't really know much abt Santa myself and it's not that big where I come from in Malaysia... not here in the UK. Merry X'mas!!!

St. Nick has religious origins and he wears the same colors a Bishop would wear.

I see.. There is another version of Santa's color. Someone told me recently that Santa's color is associates with a winter flower, which happens to be red and the white signifies the snow color. So, your version is the 3rd, I am coming across now.
