the serious problem of elderly people

to me its when they go into a home and never thought of again, only when they hear they have passed one. the care that some places give is very bad

They don't have enough money to live on to pay for meds. and Doctors since Medicare doesn't pay much anymore. They just keep cutting things that our elderly and disabled need. It is awful.

I would have to agree with the Dutchess. When faced with such problems it is a hardship on family and that persons caregivers. Healthcare facilities are expensive and who really wants to put a loved one in a nursing home? There should be other options for the Alzheimer's patients and their families.
