If nobody buys a ticket to a movie do they still show it?

That is a really good question. I don't see the point but what if there are late comers to the movie? Do they tell the people they have cancelled it or what? I don't think they would show it if noone came.

My friend and I were once the only people in the theater for a movie-the first 10 min were out of focus, and they ended up giving us vouchers for another movie later on. Not sure if it will still roll film with nobody there, but they still showed it for only 2.

I doubt it what would be the point? It would just be a waste of time and electric.
