should animals be used in scientific experiments?

i don't agree with this but then where would the scientist try their experiments on? on human beings? so i guess they have no choice but to try it to innocent animals.

animal testing - many animals have suffered and given their lives in the pursuit of unnecessary gain.  Some good has come of it however at what cost to our dear animals friends.
Personally I don't believe that we need to use animals for testing materials anymore. So much of the public probably would try things willingly. Prisons might be good grounds for testing things on inmates that sign up with proper warning. With all we know now it just is not necessary!

what if they are innocent prisoners? i mean not all prisoners are convicted.

Under no circumstances should animals be used for scientific experiments.Alternatives like computer simulations should be devloped.

depends.. there a re a lot of experiments where a human cannot be used and animals are the best choices
