I am. I have 8 children. The oldest is 19 and in college. My second, my daughter, is 17 and she has a 2 year old son. I also have a 16 year old, a 15 year old, a 10 year old, a son we lost at 12 days old four years ago, a 2 year old and a 12 month old. I am pregnant with my 9th right now. My daughter has done extremely well. She is ahead in credits and will graduate early. She only has about 10 left to get. She parents very well. I don't feel the need to step in. They do still live with us. It has worked out extremely well for my family. Is it because she has so many younger siblings (including two that are younger than her son)? Did the experience of having the younger siblings help her? Any other happy stories, or not so happy, of parenting teens with children?

I think your daughter is very blessed to have such a large support group to help her. It can be difficult having a baby so young. When she is an adult and can leave home she won't be going alone. She will have a child in tow. It will probably be more difficult for her then. I wish her and your family well in the future.
