i am tired of all the killings, all the frustrating deaths and all the unwanted violence.. why do people want war? what good does it give to them... will the world live a better place.. im also tired of terrorism here in philippines... i am a volunteer of red cross and i personally saw how painful terror gave us.
all the victims who are innocent and got nothing to do with the issue. what can you say?

At least you are one of the few people on myLot that make a thread that is a bit more thought provoking. There is not benefit of war...other than for those who control the war. This is gonna become a bit too philosophical...and I hate philosophy but...war exists because of peace. Without war we would know no peace. War is inevitable just because of the simple fact that humans have a sense of what is right and wrong. Even in our minds we have the conflict of what is right and what is wrong, everyday. That dichotomy and conflict within our mind makes humans, in general, a warring race. Of course...this is just my opinion.

As deeply as faith in force has been rooted in our minds, force has consistently betrayed our expectation to create substantial peace. Although many emperors and kings, presidents and premiers, promised the sweetness of peace through the bitterness of war, they have not yet succeeded in the alchemy of transmuting fire and sword into the dove with a olive branch. This failure may be seen most recently in the rapid transitions from World War II into the Cold War, and from the Cold War into the global war on terrorism. While the technology of destruction has improved from rocks to rockets, from manpower to nuclear, the prospect of peace remains obscured, and the dividend of peace, however illusive and short-lived, has never been shared beyond the privileged citizens of powerful nations. I hope this helps with your question, the benefit of war in my opinion is for only the few that want it.

the only good thing of war is that it is a good entertainment for others.

In my opinion there is NO benefit to war! Either way- win or lose- lives are still lost. Family's are still torn with unresolved questions about their loved ones last moments. War usually included the killing of innocent bystanders which is reckless and selfish of the war creators/ makers.
Right now my country is at war with Iraq, or wait its maybe Iran- oh no wait, we just sent 30,000 troops to Afghanistan! AND WE STILL HAVEN'T FOUND WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION!!!
It just sickens me to think that there are innocent young men and women being sent over there to fight a war that was built upon a lie and chock full of corruption!
WAR KILLS!! Point Blank and Period!!
WAR = NO BENEFIT but for coffin manufactures!
