amway is expensive thats why they make alot of money not alot of people can afford to buy it so you have to be a good sellar and know who to sell it too. your friend just wants you to join because he will make more money when you sell stuff.

It is a true business... but i heard it is difficult to make money... as the targets are high...and consumable product value is low... what i suggest is... go for Quest International... they deal with Numismatic coins... and you just need to refer 2 people... and in due time(after around 1-2yrs-provided you have worked a bit on the very simple business plan of theirs).. you can earn upto USD15,000 per week!!! interested pple... pls contact me :D

I was approached by a friend some 10 years ago about Amway. lol Its still around?? They do have some good products, she gave me some things to use and see how I liked them. I dont think the money was really in selling the products, its a pryamid scheme. The more people that you recruit to sell the products the better. So that is where the money is to be made. I mean if you feel like you would be able to recruit a lot of people, then go for it!
Good Luck.

I am also an IBO with Quixtar. I have only been a part of it for a few months, and haven't put as much time in it as I should be, but I can see how it works. I don't ask people to buy things from me. They just know what is available from me. My landlords came to me when they needed such things as a breadmaker, digital camera, new cell phones. They don't like to go to the stores. So they know to check with me.

Amway as it was presented to me has a rather workable business plan. The person who showed it to me recommended that I only use Amway for myself for anything I'd normally go to Wal-Mart or the Grocery Store to buy. Only through Amway I'd have to buy a whole moth's worth of my consumables at a time. Then just get 5 friends to each do the same thing, and if they get 5 friends, and so on and so on you make lots of $$...problem is that with all of the "get rich quick" stuff out there now, when you show your friends the plan they usually laugh at you and walk away...and as another responder said, if you get into it you have to live eat sleep and breathe Amway. everyone you meet you have to show the plan to...yu get a bad reputation as a "snake oil salesman" really quickly. Amway thugh is not about door to door product sales...it's just gettting your friends, families, acquaintances to agree to sign up to the same thing you do...use amway products while showing the business plan to others.

AMWAY is very big here in the US. In fact it's now called Quixtar, and has more products to offer than with any other MLM. If you visit the Quixtar website you'll realize what you got your hands on. It not only includes the products that they produce but from other big name companies as well. The partner stores that are a part of Quixtar also include companies like Avis, Barnes & Noble, Circuit City, Dell, Disney, Franklin Covey, and others just to name a few. It is a business if you have the motivation to succeed life then you will do well. On the other hand, it's also like any other business. If you don't treat it like a business then you won't reap the benefits either.

hi heman , i wish to tel lyou few things about amway, i believes amway is the best opportunity for a common man to become successful, its not scam and scheme, its not a quick money programme, its a step by step route to success, the network you create is your asset, to earn good money with amway you should create a better net work ( ASSET )

I got involved with Quixtar (Amway). I didn't make a dime out of it. Everything is overpriced. Why would want to buy from them if you can get it so much cheaper somewhere else. They make you listen to those stupid presentations and promise you all sorts of stuff but don't deliver. It's a complete waste of time.

Amway is not a scam. It is a legal MLM. But I bet you wont be able to make much money from it. You may earn a lot if you joined 15 years ago. Now I'm working on a online MLM. I'll suggest you to invest your money online rather than to amway. You can visit what i'm doing in my online MLM shopping mall.

Nope but my mom used to join. Anyways it's hard to earn money unless you have a will of steel, agressive and you don't mind losing most of your friends or scaring them away. Success rate is below 1%. I rather go gamble in the casino. Not worth my time.

No, I'm not and never will. Amway may be a LEGAL Business but they are doing business UNETHICALLY. You are dependent on people who are close to you to earn some money. They are focus more on recruiting/sponsoring people than selling the product. And yet they claimed they gained nothing from doing so.
Amway behave like a cult. They worship Amway those "Diamond" like god believing that those people who has succeeded to help them achieve success.

I tried Amway many years ago.
Like most MLM companies the products are expensive because there are so many people earning money from your efforts.
The guys at the top don't care, because everyone that starts, buys a bit of stock, they make money.
You don't make anything, so you drop out.
They are making small amounts from thousands of people, so why should they care if you drop out?
All the MLM companies work to the same rule.
They ask you to write a list of everyone you know, then get on the phone & invite them to join.
The truth is that most people are not salesmen or women, thats why most of the systems only work for the top people.
I came across a much better idea last week.
Its a Herbal & Fruit Energy drink without the caffiene & Sugar.
You just give away a sample, & when people try it, they love it because it gives them a great feeling & lots of energy, so then they buy it.
So anyone can give away a free sample right?
Details here. www.drinkact.com/vitality7
And Free to join, so you get your own web site.
Also they have phone ins twice a week, where they keep you updated on everything. then give out about 10 names of members. If you are on line, they give you 2 minutes to call in & cl;aim.
Yesterday they gave away $300 to everyone that confirmed they were on line.

Amway is now called "Quixtar". The products are good, BUT, dont waste your time being a distributor. You wont make money, you'll lose more on buying the products each month just to make your "quota" to earn you a check each month. Most MLM (multi-level-marketing) businesses are a waste of time. Yes, the products are rather expensive and the distributors who say they make a LOT of money, aren't exactly telling you the truth. Take it from someone who knows, been there done that. I wont ever get into another MLM ever.

I used to use Amway products, and I loved them. They had a wonderful Laundry Soap that was the best. I have known a few people who sold it years ago, but never knew how well they did with it. Although my brother knew this guy that did very well with selling it.
