Mine is O + ve, There are four blood groups in ABO Blood grouping. They are A, B,AB and O. These groups are decided on the basis of presence or absence of an antigen responsible making a particular group. Thus A group has Antigen A, B group has Antigen B, AB has both A and B both antigens and O doesn't have any Antibodies. O group can donate blood to all the other group including his own thats why this group is called Universal Donor group. AB can recieve blood from all the groups b but can only give blood to only AB group, its called universal recepient ! The negative or positive after the group is called a Rh factor or Rhesus factor and this has to be same in both donor and recepient in case of blood tranfusion !

I'm O positive, which the blook bank likes because people with other blood types can accept it. They keep asking me to donate platelets (the clotting component in blood) but I haven't gotten around to it yet (it takes longer, an hour or more).
