Using Flash ActionScript

I'm a newbie, and would like to start a discussion on the usage of Flash ActionScript. Anyone like to contribute?
For a start, the trace command is very useful.

A friend of mine is very good at flash action script. I would like to learn some too. He gets paid very well for that kind of stuff. Are you a programmer or is it just a hobbie?
