I have completed my MBA this year.
It's funny how many don't really see the importance of such. Actually I have come to realize that maybe it's because of the wrong time or the group they were in.
I had the chance to do the MBA thing a few years back, but then I decided I didn't have the right attitude nor the experience yet, so I declined.
Now after experiencing marketing and management for quite a long time, I decided to get my MBA. And alas, I was really lucky to have done that, plus the group I was assigned into were guys like me. All were experienced and in different fields, well we were said to be the 'cream of the crop'. We didn't limit ourselves to the experiences we had, but were lucky enough to learn about the experiences of others, not to mention the application of theories and the expertise of the professors we got.
So I guess, one couldn't really appreciate MBA if he/she was put in a class who haven't really gotten the experience (most have just either just graduated from the Bachelor's or didn't have a job, so decided to get an MBA).
So my advise for those who are interested. Opt for MBA when you are ready and you know why you are there in the first place. Plus, choose your group well. Never hesitate to get a background check on your group/batch, if the list contains a list of people who haven't got the experience then don't go for it, all you'll get are theories that any ordinary person can read for themselves.
Plus, choose your curriculum and school well. Best professors (who are not full-time professors, but are also experts in their field ~ working or managing a company) are the best ones to choose. Because they don't limit the discussion to the books, but rather share-in their personal experiences.
For those who don't get what I mean, then don't go for MBA. *LOL*
For those who got what I meant, then God bless you, you are ready!
=)
Good Luck all
