Drug free birth?

Has anyone ever had a "natural" birth? I'm afraid that if I tried that, halfway through it I would wuss out and change my mind, and I heard after a certain amount of time you can't change your mind about the drugs, they have to be administered at a certain time. Anything anyone could let me know about natural or drugged childbirth? Is that what you call it? "Drugged" childbirth? haha.
