Should office dress code be relaxed?

Office dress code is imposed in several indian companies. At the same time, every employer claims an informal work culture. Is office dress code necessary? I feel it is not and anyone should have the freedom to wear anything within decent limits.what do others have to say?

It really depends on the company. If your employees are meeting customers face-to-face, then they should be dressed nicely.
However, if all they do is talk on the phone, then it shoudl be relaxed.

I think it is necessary. Without dress code we will not look as a official
