Is it really any one's business?

Should we really be sharing with each other how much money myLot has paid us? I think it's a bit personal. I'm sure no one has made such a substantial amount of money that they have been able to retire from their full time jobs so why even bother asking? Maybe I'm a bit old fashioned, I dont know. Does everyone feel comfortable sharing their earnings information with each other? I thinks tricks of the trade are okay, but a definate dollar amount is a little too personal for my taste. Anyone else want to sound off?

As there is no exact quoter or guidelines, most people would be curious to know how much earning ability they have on MYLOT. What earns you the most? do you start a discussion, do you upload pictures, do you earn more answering a discussion? The one off questions like, what colour do you like, do not bode well for a good disscusion in my opinion.

i think that if you generate discussions with a certain number of genuine replys then you should get paid for that but again, i don't know what the formula is and i would love if mylot would show what the earnings schedule is but then i'm sure if they did that people would manipulate it to make more money so what can you do about it...

Yes,it is a bit personal but other members just want proof of their earnings. This is some assurrance that for all doubters about this site. After all of the earning information-sharing,we are rest assured that we are going to be paid as long as we follow all the rules and we will be honest in all are dealings.we will have any problems occuring righ there and there.

I wouldn't tell strangers how much my salary at work is but it's a little different here in myLot. I don't mind giving away the exact figure of my so called earnings because I know people out there are curious...and so am I :-)

It doesn't bother me at all. As a new user, I like to see real figures of what people are earning, as the site doesn't supply an exact amount.

I was actually thinking about that myself. I mean if other folks don't beleive that mylot is paying then they will just have to wait and see won't they and come on now people use your brains, why would someone with 2981 post be on here if they haven't been paid.

The reason some of us announce our earnings is to show others that mylot does in fact pay. There are members here that think mylot wont pay and we want them to see that it is worth it to participate in the discussions. I understand where you are coming from that it is nobodys business. We are just trying to encourage others to participate on a regular basis.

I think its good of people to share information about their earnings, because a lot of people here are not really sure whether they can make a lit bit of extra cash. Probably they have wasted time on other sites and not been paid. This shared info will help MYLOT to grow much faster and all of us will benefit because now we are sure that the extra effort we put into it will be worth it.

I think that people who post anything concerning what the made on MyLot, is just really trying to start another discussion thread. I personally don't see anything wrong with that. I would upset if someone asked me what I earn at my job, thats no one business. But we are talking pocket more here, not retirement funding.

I appreciate the posts that give hints for optimizing our earnings, just as you say. I probably will not post how much I make, but I can say that I will make payout this time and I am happy, this is my first month using myLot.

Sharing your earnings here would inspire us and other member to strive more if they have a target amount for a certain amount of time. And it also gives us idea of how much this site really pays. So I don't see problem on that.

exactly! If you don't like what people say then don't read it. Plus you could look at the number of people's posts beside their name and see how much they have made..or at least get a pretty good estimate! it's not really that big of a deal!

I think that it's not a personal thing that people are asking about how much anyone's made. I believe that it's more to get an idea of how the system works, and what the going rate is.
For instance, if you work in an industry, although you won't know exactly how much a colleague makes, you know the salary range for this type of job.
I think what would help would be if myLot described the details of what makes money. For instance, this comment gains me 0.001 of a cent, or something like that. That way it would give the information that we all want, without divulging personal information.

Well, Only if you feel like it. No one is forcing... I am glad people shared at first, Just knowing it is real and not a Scam, To let us newer people who joined know its true. I would not have stayed on mylot if I did not read those at first to be honest... For those of us who do not get paid for the work we do, Mylot sure is a Godsend when late night when all that is on TV is a crap, and there is nothing else to do while staying up on voluntary nightwatch to make sure children are not getting into things they shouldn't be... Mylot has given me something to do, as well as a way to pay myself for my volunteering, to sit with naughty kids during their time outs, and for helping out with nightwatch. I am very greatful to mylot... It is helping me earn emergency money I call it. To save so I always have enough to keep myself off the streets shoulde something happen to my family before I get a paying job... I always have to think ahead and have a back up plan.
I felt comfortable sharing that I did earn $4.64 one night, and I am up to $53.68 now. That is 50 more than I would ever have, and it gives me hopes. That not only while I am chatting away in my chatroom playing games, doing randomly research and study I can earn something here, and put my communication skills to a good use.
Thanks Mylot, and if you do not feel like sharing your business with your friends, No one is making you :) ... I however tend to be very open aabout most things. So what many see a personal to me may not seem personal at all. As I do not share to make people jealous, or breed more competition I share to give people who, hey look what I did, You can do this too, and even earn more! .. while having fun at the same time. :) - DNatureofDTrain

I don't personally have a problem with it. I think in general people are trying to get an idea of the average amount made on here, so they know if they are doing something wrong, or should be doing something else. If someone doesn't want to say how much they have made, they just don't have to respond to the discussion I guess.

yes you are right and thank you for responding. I just guess I'm too old fashioned about knowing what others make. when someone asks me how much i spend on an item, i get offended easily. i guess maybe i should loosen up a bit?:)

I personally find it a little annoying, but it doesn't bother me too much. Whatever floats their boat, I guess. I just tend to ignore them and find something else. I don't mind sharing what my earnings are with friends, but I'm not about to go posting it on myLot. That's just me, though. If everyone else wants to do it, they can go ahead. Just don't expect me to post with a congrats or whatever.

i think the internet anonymity here allows for the revealing of your earnings. it doesnt matter coz you wouldnt know whether some1 you met in the real world is a mylot member. it counts outside tho
