What Makes Sea Water so Salty??

everyone knows that sea water is salty in taste.. but such a big water body having such large concentration of salt in it..!! the ions like magnesium,phosphates,carbonates,sulphates,etc., present in the different layers of earth makes the sea water so salty... if u have anyt other ideas behind this plz reply..

even because of volacnoes under the sea.The eruption of volcano will contain some minerals and it may also be the reason.other thing which makes sea water salty is the dissolving of salt on the rocks.
