Taco Bell's sales have taken a hit since more than 70 diners at its East Coast restaurants fell sick with E. coli poisoning. Would you still eat there? We ate at Taco Bell the other day and I had a mexican pizza and was wondering why the green onions were missing...hmmmmm guess I should read more news

I heard about the outbreak, but that will not stop me from ever eating at Taco Bell again. It has been known to happen with other foods and other restaurants, but I have never heard of it happening at the same place twice.

I guess I should read more news too because I never heard about it. I suppose I would be safe because I dont eat the green onions anyway. lol. I dont like them to begin with. I love Taco Bell though.

Well, I have aten at a Taco Bell since this News. I feel why stop eating there just because of a E. Coli outbreak. They have done their part with removing Green Onions, and finding out the cause of the outbreak, so I feel we should not patronize them due to this. Now, if I was the one who was getting sick from places like this, I might be skeptical though to recommend them to anyone though too.

Yea, I guess its all taken care of but I still would feel extremly uncomfortable eating there. This is going to stick to their rep for atleast 4 years...If you liked my post, press the "+" button to the right of this post. Thanks!

I wouldn't eat at any restaurant chain having an outbreak of E-coli poisoning until the source of the outbreak had been determined and removed. Once the problem has been removed, I would again feel comfortable eating there. It's a shame that a chain's reputation and revenues are affected by such things, but it's only natural and to be expected.
It's really scary that this bacteria keeps popping up all over the place. If it's not burgers in fast-food chains, it's bagged lettuce and spinach... and now green onions. It kind of makes you skeptical to eat anywhere, doesn't it? But realistically, it could happen in your own home.
I'm glad that the FDA and the CDC are on top of investigating these things.

I agree with ya. My husband and I didn't know about the green onions until after the fact. I noticed there weren't any on the mexican pizza I ordered but I just thought they were out. I think taco bell is doing the best they can to resolve this and will take a big blow in profits....and you are right it can happen in your own home as well...thanks for the response.
