I would have thought that this discussion would have received a lot more responses. Oh well, sometimes the good ones get lost in the general melee of other discussions.

Yes I am really a partiot to my country and have served in the military for Australia although I didn't see active service. My husband was also in the military and he did see active service on several occasions during his term. Also our son was also in the military but he did not see active service. So I suppose you could say that we would give our life for our country but at the ages my husband and I are now, it is highly unlikely that it would happen.
