Every yr...one headache after another...shopping malls...having to put up with family u dont bother with the rest of the year...spending way to much time and money on a meal thats gone in minutes...having to buy gifts for people who dont even deserve a lump of coal in thier stocking...It's all one GIANT commercial with no channel changer...my favorite day of the yr is Jan2...when allll the crap is done and over with!

No, I love christmas! i love spending time with my family, and i love watching people open the gifts i got them. i think its great! i cant believe you already want it to over.
granet i think it is way to commercialized, but that dosent mean you have to forget the meaning. Yes it is Jesus's birthday, but it is also a time to enjoy eachothers company, and see family you dont get to see all the time, and eat good food. i dont think the meal go to fast! they are great, and great for left overs! i dont get the headaches, because typically i am done, or near done shopping my december first. i hope you end up enjoying your holiday!

are you athyists?
It dosent matter if you athyists, most athyist's still enjoy their family. you dont have to believe in God, to want to eat a big dinner with your family and exchange gifts! who dosent like gifts? and if you dont want to partake in the giftgiving, than dont. its not a crime

Why are you buying things for people who you feel do not deserve anything? it seems like you miss the point of this holiday, Just ignore the commercialism and spend time with the people you actually want to be around and who you love.

Now your not really in the christmas spirit are you? :P
I like christmas. I'm really looking forward to Christmas this year too. I do think it's expensive buying gifts for people, but I like to give gifts to my parents, boyfriend and his parents and my closest friends :) I don't like the cold but I do like the long lie in's allowed once school/college/uni is over :D

Christmas time is just one more weekend to me ... but with even worse TV shows than usual .. and all the shops are shut so there's no point going out ..
Unless you are a small child Christmas just isn't fun any more ... luckily I am on my own so can keep a 'Christmas free' house .. I've a few decent TV shows recorded ready to watch ... and I shall eat and drink the same as any weekend ... :o)

I love Christmas.
I tend to not buy gifts for people just for the sake of buying gifts.
I do spoil my children, and spend too much money, but it's one time out of the year.
It's fun :)

Sadly I must say no I will not be happy this Christmas. This has been a very hard year for me. My next to the youngest brother passed away in Febraury, my parents have broke up after 51 years of marriage and this won't be able to buy presents. I know presents aren't what Christmas is all about. But I'd like to be able to be able to buy my brother a present because he's my main caregiver. I just want to say thank you. I just feel so depressed.

Well personally I like Christmas...I think that there are those stressful portions..but you have to think of it as spending time with those you love...and making them happy...and not getting upset over every little thing....You don't have to spend a lot of money.....it is the way you treat others that makes the holiday...

In a way I lookforward for it to be over but I also love the look on my kids faces when they wake up christmas morning and see the presents "magickly" appear over night. I wouldent miss that for anything. I love the look on there faces when the open there presents. I actually enjoy spending the time with our families. The ony thing I dont like is rushing from one place to another so that everyone can give the kids there presents.

its not the x-mas holiday which is bad,by the way u r looking it on the bad side of it,why don't u try to view it on the brighter side--meeting people u have not met in ages, giving charity to the disadvantaged in the society, singing for the Lord, attending shows, movies, etc.
by the way try visiting Kenya for a holiday and u will be singing x-mas tunes the whole year round.

I'll be happy when it's over, yes. I haven't even started shopping yet. I like to do it a week before. I find more sales then, but I'm still not looking forward to those crowds of pushy people in lines, and everywhere else in the store.
The thing is, I finally realized that I don't HAVE to buy for those that don't deserve or appreciate what I give.
I don't waste my money on family members anymore because I know that's the only time they want to get together. I came from a very materialistic family, and refuse to bring my kids up the same way. So all my money goes to my children and boyfriend only - the ones I know who will truly appreciate it the most.

If you hate it that much, it's partly because you drive yourself into a frenzy and force yourself to feel that way. If you step back some you might enjoy the holidays more. That is a problem many people have though, don't worry, it's not just you

So you think spending hrs wandering around malls fighting for gifts..standing in endless lines and then having to deal with relatives you cant stand is rewriting christmas?...I dont wanna rewrite it...I just wanna turn the clock back..when xmas was really xmas...a time when everything wasnt a big commercial and alot less stressful.

Christmas has nothing to do with shopping, or tha pagan worship of satan claus, it has everything to do with giving and CHRIST. Just because everyone else is sinning and turned it into a comercial money making scheme doesnt mean you have to follow, it even says in the bible "do not follow the masses", as they are lemmings heading over the cliff of morals and reasoning following the pie eyed piper.

And its not X-MAS, it is CHRISTMAS, you insult the very meaning of the word by removing the part that made the whole thing, that means you are trying to re-write history, by removing Christ from it, thats like calling thanksgiving, turkey day, or go out and shop day, has nothing to do with the original meaning, it honestly should be called "killed the native americans and stole their land day"

I don't want chirstmas to be over, cuz of the school break and all. But on the other hand "yes" i want it to be over, there's too much to spend, and it's only for one day. But overall i never want chirstmas to end, cuz you'll get endless gifts. But after chirstmas comes New Years...which solves all the problem.
