Intel or AMD 64 bit processors/ 64bit or EM64T. Which one YOu prefer?

Now, a buzz is going on in the market about the Intel 64 bit and AMD 64 bit processors
Intel used to sell the product telling it's 64 bit as EM64T which stands for Extended Memory 64 bit Technology and AMD tells simply 64 bit. Which is correct? Are these really 64 bit processors? HAve you ever thought of a 3 GHZ processor to be 54 bit then what will be the amount of heat generation? Don't you doub't something?

one of my neighbours have got AMD 64 bit and other guy has own a duo core of intel....
both the guys are satisfied with their processors...
the guy having AMD doesnt hav any prob like getting hot..
but the only fact is AMD is less in cost than intel...
infact i do hav an AMD processor,but 32 bit...

AMD is good one it seems than in comparison to Intel

Do you ever thought that how 3.02 Ghz could be 64 bit or its extended memory EM64T?

Amd is faster.seriously..Yes 3GHZ especially with HT is so hot and noisy.
