My son has ADHD. I have fought with Drs and teachers and even had a psycologist tellme he couldn't help him. I continue to fight for him. I wanted to get him into a special program where he would be in a setting with his TRUE peers. The principal said we aren't willing to give up on him yet. Lets see here. You called the police on him. P.S. he is terrified of the police. You have suspended him twice. Once for 3 days. Once for 5 days.
Yet lets let him lose another year of education before you will except defeat.
Wow ok. As for what about the parent. I try to understand him. I try to help him.
I try to get the medical attention he needs. To no avail. I can't seem to get the right help.

I feel for you, I have a cousin who is mentally challenged, though not as much trouble as your son. I think you just need to take him to another doctor if your regular doctors are not able to help him. The teachers have to teach all the children in the class, so it is tough on them too, and one cannot expect them to be as patient as a parent can be. And yes, if you do not fight for him, who will? Keep fighting, I am with you.

I went through the same thing with my son It can be a very tiring and long fight. It is very hard to get the school to put a student in a special program. Does your son have and IEP or Section 504? Look online about these things if it is something he doesn't have. Look into getting a child advocacy lawyer. They will help you with the school department. Do all the research you can. If your psychologist says they can't help him tjen find another.

I don't know where you live, but there is a Dr. Daniel Amen that has a few clinics around the country and has done a lot of research on ADHD. Why don't you look him up on the web and see if he has a clinic near you? He has a website and I think you can still email him or one of his associates. Maybe they can recommend someone near you. I'm sure your son can be helped. It just may take some time and a doctor with plenty of experience and knowledge in this area.
