Do you will to use a PC with the Linus OS???

linux is what i am currently using as my operating system with this particular pc that i am using right now. am also down loading the ubuntu operating system and try to compare them as to which is better to meet my computing requirements and more friendlier to use. greetings. : )

I still use Linux. I love it. I have it on my old Dell Inspiron 8000 laptop. I still use Winblows, too, but for "questionable" browsing, I like to use Linux. Get your minds out of the gutters, people. It's not that type of questionable browsing!

yes. i have installed linux os on my pc once but i migrated back to windows os. the disappointment was that linux has few readily available software/programs to install that i need. and we are so used to microsoft's propietary os (win9x/nt/2k/xp) that learning other system would be like going back to 1st grade that would take some time to master.

I don't think Linux cannot be used as a desktop system. I have installed linux on my system and use it for watching movies, playing music, surfing net, chatting etc. I always have the codec problem on windows. But on linux i dint ever had to face one. Now what else do one need? Is it gaming? Ok i agree to the fact that most of the games available are for windows only. But that don't mean you cant play any games on linux. There are many games available for linux including famous games like Doom, Quake, Wolfenstine, UT etc. Games which are available only on windows can be run on linux using the tool called Cedega.
