Teens who watched pro wrestling prone to violent behavior

Teenagers who watched pro wrestling on TV were more likely to behave violently than other kids, researchers reported yesterday, and girls seemed to be more influenced than boys.
Those findings were part of a study suggesting that teenagers who watched wrestling shows like "RAW" and "SmackDown" had a tendency toward violence, including carrying weapons and fighting on dates.

When it first was televised on UK tv my son started watching it as it was really popular.
However, he was coming home telling me kids were flinging themselves against walls and getting into wrestling matches.
I saw my son becoming quite agressive and he would wrestle and grab me and his sister around the neck, which was dangerous. So I banned it from the tele and he wasn't allowed to watch it anymore.
I can't speak for everyone though. I am sure there are alot of teens and younger kids who will not be influenced by it and turn to violent behaviour themselves.
It's like everything. Some people will always be affected by things no matter what they are exposed to.
If the kids are young though, the parents can use their initiative and not allow their kids to watch it.

i cimpletely agree on that..infact i have experienced it at my home...i have two brothers..both teenagers..they liked watching wrestling a lot and those days when they saw it they fought a lot and in the same way as they used to..it was a real hell at my place..my moh=ther one day e=realized one day that it was all coz of the wrestling they watched..from that day my mother never lets them watch tiand trust me the fight have been reduced to just 10%..it affects a lot
it for all parents..DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN WATCH THAT NUISANCE..IT MAKES YOUR CHILDREN VIOLENT!!
