Kishore vs Rafi

IN MY OPINION BOTH OF DEM R GR8. THE WAY WE CANT SAY DAT WHICH INSTRUMENT IS BETTER BETWEEN GUITAR AND VIOLIN SIMILARLY WE CANT TELL DAT WHO IS BETTER BETWEEN KISHORE KUMAR AND RAFI BOTH WERE AWESOME

All those old singers were unique in their own way,be it Rafi,Mukesh,Kishore,Manna dey,Hemant or Mahendra kapoor - they all great voices and they have gone to sing some memorable classics. The very reason for this comparison began, when in the seventies, some the music directors began to prefer Kishore kumar, music directors like R.D.Burman,Kalyanji Anandji, Bappi lahri etc .I personally feel it is because of the emergence of Rajesh Khanna as a Superstar who became a rage with Aradhana which had chartbusters sung by Kishore Kumar and another reason was the changing trend in hindi cinema where the movies became action oriented and the heroes were all sporting the angry young man image thanks to Amitabh bachan.... When one actually analyses the facts i would say that Rafi had a near perfect voice that is unmatched till date.However kishore Kumar was more talented being able to handle so many different roles, Actor,Singer,Composer,Director etc

Both are great singers India has ever produced. But my first preference is for Rafi for his romantic, melodius voice. Kishre became more popular after Rafi made great impact on Indian cinema goers and music lovers. Yes you are right. Both singers are talented. We cannot compare them. They have there own unique style.

both of them were great singers and i didnt listen to them that much but all the elders in my family go in for md rafi

both were great singers but to me Rafi is better than kishore for many reasons that i won't like to tell here bec of lack of time...:)
