Any John Denver fans here?

John Denver was a unique talent that couldn't be categorized which is what I liked about him. I love Annie's Song - It's my favorite. Also, Sunshine on my Shoulders, Rocky Mountain High, Take Me Home Country Roads, and Calypso. I rocommend the Jouhn Denver Country Roads Collection to any fan. It's a fabulous 4 CD set. While living in the Monterey area, I took some pictures of John (one of which which I'll post) at the 1997 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro- Am where he paired up with Clint Eastwood (they lost to Joe Pesci and Huey Lewis). A few years later, after a leisurely round of golf at Pebble Beach he look his new experimental plane out over the Monterey Bay and soon found both fuel tanks empty. He went down just off Lover's Point, one of his favorite places in the world. Several fans, including myself, went out there several times to just listen to his music together. The city of Monterey would not allow fans to erect a tribute to him there, but I think eventually a tree was planted there in his name.

Yes, I ADORE him...I have many of his CD's and when I was a little girl, I played poker so I could buy one of his albums...I bought his greatest hits..

Oh yes. John Denver well not a name that you hear too often these days. If I had to pick an all time favorite, it would have to be, " Wild Montana Skies." Funily enough too my friends used say that I looked like him. I never saw it, but they sure rode me about it.

Nice to see all the positive comments about John! His voice was beautiful and his music continues to touch my soul. I especially love the lesser known songs (wish they'd get some airplay): Yellowstone, Coming Home (his last song) Healing Time On Earth Wandering Soul The Gift You Are It's About Time Falling Leaves The Wings That Fly Us Home Blue Water World All This Joy On The Wings Of A Dream For You Children Of The Universe I could go on.............

Same here just adore his music, my favorite is Annie's song also, easy listening(and easy to join when no-one is listening), great messages and well go JD I say. Remember growing up with it, Dad playing it a lot.

I love almost all of his music. Grandmas feather bed reminds of the big feather tick I use to sleep on as a child.

I always love his songs,and seeing this topic once again re-live all the songs that this one of the best country singer ever sings.. Who can never fall in love with "PERHAPS LOVE"
