In my line of work, I see people driving everyday to come to my office. Then I ask them for their driver's license to go and see a home. You would be shocked how many of them do not have one! Some are from another country and produce that (which is illegal here) or they have an ID because they lost theirs due to drunk driving or no insurance or who knows why. Here in the US, we have many many accidents and many fatal ones at that. What do you think should happen to someone who is repeatedly caught driving without a license?

Well I think the police should be more strict about it and should have some sort of scanning system in the streets to detect :) but they have to issue detectable DLs first.

Too many people drive without a license. A friend of mine was driving with her 1 year old daughter when a truck slammed into them. The driver asked if she was okay and wanted to jump back in his truck and drive off. Her husband who had been following them pulled next to him and told the kid not to go anywhere. Come to find out, the kid did not have a license nor was there insurance on his vehicle.
