I think its a even mixture of both...though sometimes hardwork produces results a bit late compared to fortune orientd..

well, i do agree to it, but in my experiences, i have always seen that luck plays the only factor in getting a person promoted. i have seen so many ppl struggling to the core and getting their perks too late or in the worst case scenario....not at all!!

well i believe in fortune, hard work n cleverness as if fortune fails so ur clever mind may save some of ur work ;)...
but it will be great if fortune works as i think it plays more better role in our life as cleverness will work according to the situation but fortune makes u the situation ... so better the situation better the results.
And if ur fortune is really bad den ur hard work remains to lesser work .. so it is on luck
