I noticed that there is the possibility to mark a response as the best one received. Does the one who receives this "mark" receive a greater reward?

yes, you will help the member more by marking the best response! and if there's any better responds, you can probably rate them a '+'...that will help their earning as well. marking a '-' will give them a negative effect though and encourage only for those with oneliner perhaps. '!' will be to report abuse to mylot team...like if they are rude or give a respond that is totally unrelated to your discussion
