At our school out on a table in the front they put out a book. In it is a page for each teacher and they write their favorites....favorite color, restaurant, drink, hobby etc.
That way when (if) you wish to purchase them a gift you have something to go by.
I will probably purchase a gift for my childs teacher, the computer teacher who lost her husband suddenly at the beginning of the school year, and maybe the girls in the office.
How about you?

I don't have kids, but my mom is a teacher. Gifts are a great way to show your appreciation! She gets a lot of cookies, teas, or chocolates, which are always nice to have! A gift certificate to Target or a teacher supplies store would be above and beyond.

I think teachers deserve so much more appreciation than they get.
They work so much harder than most people think.
Kudos to your mom :)
