Why has God permit humans to suffer?

A few weeks ago, a great storm whipped some part of my country and it left hundreds of people dead. Someone was able to videotape some heart-breaking scenes during the "super typhoon" (as it was described by the weather bureau) like a man struggling to save his life on the roof of his house ( I suppose) carrying what seem to be a lifeless little girl, all soaked up under heavy torrential rain. And the rapidly elevating flood that was about to devour all abodes around him loudly declared that all will be over soon... I don't know if the man and the child survived the calamity but one thing is clear... many have suffered. This is just one tragic incident, maybe if we could count the tragedies that struck mankind, millions or billions of lives were taken. So I paused and ponder for a moment, does God really care? If yes, why has God permit humans to suffer?

there is no god man made god in his own image, man suffers through his own stupidity and selfish greed . Tradegies are random and man does not respond well to random chance, instead he blames the god that he himself invented

this has been a question since time immemorial. god can protect us and always more than willing to... but the problem is us- humans. as i've said god can protect us from anything except from our own decision.
