Importance Of Family, a woman's place is in the home

Women's appropriate place is within, men's, without. When men and women keep to their proper places they act in accord with heaven's great norm. Among the members of a family are the dignified master and mistress whom we term Father and Mother. When Father, mother, sons, elder and younger brothers all act in a manner suited to their various positions within the family, when husbands play their proper role and wives are truly wifely, the way of that family runs straight. It is by the proper regulation of each family that the whole world is stabilized.

While that is the way a hunter gatherer society that existed in prehistoric days functions, I think that given today's global economy and global society, such an outlook is closed minded and does not move towards progress.

Indeed, and incidentally, the Amazons reversed these roles back in ancient times, with the women going out and hunting and fighting the battles, whilst the men were the homemakers and brought up the children!

Yes this is true in another time era. It had to be this way then, but today it serves everyone greater if both parties are allowed to express their ability to do both. Equality works best for everyone.
The man does not have to have the sole burden of providing for his family if he becomes ill, he has a back-up. The woman does not have to be the only one to tend to the domestic things in the house, she will have a back-up if she falls ill. The man, woman and children do not suffer because there are two people doing the same things. No one has to rely on outside help because now they are self sufficient. This is much better for society as a whole!

I think there is some logic behind your thinking but there was logic behing the thinking of the Atomic bomb too and we all know how that turned out. Families are never gonna be set in a pretty little perfect mold because no one is perfect. This is a nice thought if you wanna live a dull and boring life though.
