Santa is a lie and no parent should tell their child this horrible lie. Ever!

it is people like you that make this world a sad depressing place. For starters you have no right telling anyone how or what they should say to their kids. What you do to yours (if you have any) is your own buisness, stay out of everyone elses. Didnt your mother ever tell you , if you have nothing nice to say dont say it at all?

and you know what's funny..santa claus should not be even called santa clause if he existed .....since he's male ...he should be called Santo Clause....its not right to call a mn santa ....santa is female word form of the word saint referring to a female saint ..seee..i does'nt make sense to call saint nick santa clause so it should be santo Clause...

for me santa is only a fairy tale character, which is more in terms of feel and emotions and not real in existance. any elderly fellow who is softspoken and nice i usually term such people as santa.

he is just a fairy tale, i've never seen a person with pointy ears like elfes and a factory in the coldest place on earth. it doesn't say in the bible anyways. santa is a fictional character. parents tell thier kids there is a santa so the kids will have something to look forward to. he also adds to the spirit of christmas. moms and dads dont fit down chimney's. i tend to believe there is no santa, but believe what you want

If you don't want to lie put "From: Anonymous" on the tag. If you think lying is wrong just use the truth. This also works great when you want to be a "true giver" (give without taking credit which is boastful) and your recipient does not believe that there is a Santa.

The original "santa" is actually a legend. There have been various persons throughout history that have shown the spirit of giving for the sake of giving and being anonymous about it so as not to be boastful. In biblical parlance "It is a gift from God lest any man should boast." this passage refers to salvation (but if God can give something so large that He sacrificed his own Son to give to mankind then what gift could He not give?). So the idea here is that a gift is better when the receiver does not know who gave it. There was a time when the world was a nicer and less paranoid place and neighbours could do exactly that (give gifts anonymously). This is the secret of the enigma behind Santa Claus. For an atheist Santa is probably the way to go, otherwise put "From: God" on the tag.

no. there is no magical santa who drives and flies with reindeers, sneeks in to homes,... He just signifies Gift-giving and joyful atmosphere of the season. in essence, anybody can be a Santa. anybody who shares his blessings or even just the act of giving gifts, unconditionally.

santa clause - santa clause picture
I think it was real from my belief. It seems that the story has been a word from mouth to mouth. We want to know the past, look a santa clause at the presense, We like to know the future, look him at current. Things happen, make kids more imaginations, more creative, and more wishes.

There is no real Santa as such.. But the feel that he will come and give gifts kind of makes Christmas interesting... It also helps the kids to understand the fact that god will be watching you in whatever you do... If you are good then good things definitely comes back to me.. I feel that this thought is being spread through this imaginary character Santa

In Vietnam, everyone welcome Christmas day by praying and going out with friend. I don't beleive in Santa Claus BUt I think children should know him as in the tale story.

yes, santa is real once you stop believing that is the year you stop recieving gifts.he was discovered because this man wanted to prove that children need to have joy in their life so a man decided to prove that he can bring joy to children and that is how he was discovered.but the true meaning of christmas really is to celebrate the birth of christ.that is why it is called christmas.
