I am employed as a Substitute Teacher and as a Independent Contractor, and I would like to do some online tutoring work. I would like to find out if anyone on this board does this type of work, what companies are you employed with? Does the company employ non educational major? I have a degree, but not in education I am trying to transition to a educational career.

What ever you do do not try Brainfuse. They disrespect tutors and give them more than one student at the same time without compensating the tutor or much care for the attention the student gets.

You know I read on a website they were not the greatest. I still don't have a online tutoring job. I got one response and it was for high school algebra. I prefer the lower level.

I am also curious to know more about online tutoring. Online tutoring is comman in west. You can try aztec.linkonlearning, educationcanada.com or tutornation.com There are a No. of such sites for people residing in western countries. For online tutoring you don't need necessarily a degree in education. Graduate in any discipline can work.
