What does myLOT get by paying us?

I am just curious why this kind of site exists? What do they get on paying their members? If myLot get something good out of these topics/discussions, why do other forums (where a lot of topics are being discussed also) do this?
I hope somebody will enlighten me on this.

They gathering different types of the information from us and they are developing in other way.
