Are some people destined to be alone?

I've been single for about 6 years now and honestly, I don't know if I want to be in another relationship. I am one of those people that really enjoys being alone. It's so weird because most of my friends absolutely have to have a man in their lives. It's like they think they can't survive without one. Do you think some people are just meant to be alone in life?

Some people are destined to be alone. But you may also find that your needs change with time. My advice: don't force anything, and try to be happy no matter what you are doing. At some point you may suddenly fall in love, but it's not the be-all or end-all of the world if you don't. BTW, welcome to MyLot!

I am pretty happy alone. The strange thing is, most relationships that I have had have been long distance ones. I prefer distance between us so I don't have to be with the person all of the time. lol

I think it's perfectly okay to want to be alone, I mean afterall, life is more than just love relationships. :) You still have your family with you and so on.

I'm convinced that my family must think I'm crazy. I'm the only one that is single. I always get that question, "so, are you dating anyone?" It drives me insane! Society makes you feel like you should be part of a couple.
