Murder verses Robbery

I'm not exactly sure how to word this so bare with me if it comes out wrong. I've seen some robbery cases where a person is found guilty sentence the person to more years in prison than a person whose committed murder. To me this is pretty crazy. I think a persons life is more important than money. What's everyone else think?

I could not agree with you more. There are alot of things I don't get when it comes to our sentencings. The one thing that gets me the most is people who drink and drive and kill someone. Alot of these people get off with light sentences. To me it is just as bad as cold blooded murder. Killing someone is killing someone, period.

there is definitely something wrong with our justice system, look at the people who rot in jail and then the pyschos they let back on the street!

Murder is nothing more than a slap on the hand the first time..why do you think gangs have no fear?? But you also have to take into consideration track records..how many times has that robbery suspect been in jail already...Not that a murderer shouldn't be in jail for life period.

I do not know how they determine the amount of time they give someone for a crime. God sees all sin as the same and you can be forgiven wheter it is murder or robbery.

Law is a funny thing. There Could be different factors which may determine the outcome of both cases. Maybe the robber is a repeat offender who has landed infront the court too many time and they say he is a threat to society. You might not know but the robbers previous crimes could determine his fate. On the other hand the murderer may be a first time offender and may have been in a situation where he was aggravated and also may have a clean record.

Would you rather have a first time offender murder your family or a ten time offender rob your family? Enough said!

I agree with you, the "system" just isn't fair but there really isn't much we the people can do about it.

That is no different than someone serving more time for using pot than raping someone. The system needs to be seriously revamped!

It is crazy. Murder should always be punished with a harsher sentence that robbery.
