Did you like this movie? Oldboy is one of the best movies of all time, but its kinda controversial. Did you watch it? What do you think about a soon to be released Hollywood remake of it?

i think Hollywood should not commercialize foreign movies. i don't like that. it's worst that re-writing a book. the message was sent in Japanese. that's the message that should remain! the movie is great, i loved it. i will not want to see the movie in English. would you make the titanic in German? what for? Each movies has it's subliminal messages. olbody is about a price a guy paid for doing something to another guy, which the second guy didn't like. It's a Japanese point of vies of how Japanese people can be and are when i comes to honor or whatever. Don't destroy that, thats all i say. Put Casablanca in Chinese and ask yourselves what's the point. Or the Matrix in mute. Comon! I will not see it with a good attitude towards it..
That movie essence murder, for the lack of better wor to describe how i feel about it.

It's a great movie, with a great plot, and at the climax I could feel the despair of the protagonist as he cuts out his own tongue.
I don't feel like watching a Hollywood remake...I think the movie would lose his feel and impact, if it would be "hollywoodized".

oldboy its an simply amazing movie, all the story, the scnenerium, the screenplay and actors, all its mixed up and concepted in a way that gives life to the movie. Altough the korean language its a bit weird to hear and apreciate, there is nothing to blame about, i recommend it to everyone, but kids.
