I'd recommend http://blogaboutyourblog.blogspot.com to get your own blog publicised. It's worked for me! I've written about my own blog http://mikesmoneymakingmission.blogspot.com on there and have got visitors from doing so.

http://freegraphicsformyspace.blogspot.com is the blog which gets abt 150 daily unique visitors

I reccommend this service as a member. I'm unable to post at the moment on it (my account has yet to be upgraded to blogger beta), but when I do, I'll put a post on there!
