Why do people do this???

It seems like every time a friend of mine comes to me, upset, because of something to do with their significant other, they are upset about something that has been a part of that person since the first day they met. It doesn't seem right to me because they knew that about the person all along...the WHOLE time! What did they expect? For example, a girlfriend of mine has suddenly taken issue with the fact that her boyfriend of 41/2 years now is EXTREMELY flirtatious with every woman he talks to. I'm not saying I encourage this type of behavior, but I was around when they first met and NOTHING has changed in regards to his behavior toward women. I think people need to not be so desperate to be in a relationship that they sweep obvious issues under the rug for years and then all of sudden freak out about it. Any comments??? Anyone else agree with me? If you married a lazy person, then don't be all shocked and amazed when they continue to be that way. Right?!?

Absolutely! I totally agree with you..I guess some people are so blinded that they fail to see such things in the beginning of relationships. and in such situations you really don't know how to console them right..esp when u've known this too all along! Some people never learn trust me!
