How do you get onto the top discussions?

Like, ive noticed many of the discussions dont even have a lot of replies, so how are they the best?

I don't know how the top discussions thing works. Maybe if people respond faster? You know, I mean if it gets more responses faster than the other responses are getting. Know what I mean? That's just a guess, though. I really have no idea and I don't understand how it works.

I don't understand this place. I have 46 cents is all. I'm not sure how people are doing it.
