Me and my Husband are living with my grandma to save money we are supossed to move out it march but we will only have $5000 saved we want to rent to own a house or moblie home on land. Now I started thinking If we bought a fixer upper trailer for $2000 lived in it for a year after the year we will have between $10,000 and $15,000 saved what should I do If I have 10 to 15 grand then after a year I could get a nicer place than if I had on 5 grand I would live with my grandma longer but she drives me crazy what should I do? please help me sort through this.

I think you have a well though out plan. This is what my husband and I did. We bought a cheap fixer upper trailer and a small lot. We then saved up more money and purchased a nice small 2-story fixer upper house got a loan with a small down payment on 10 acres of land and we couldn't have been happier!

I think you have a very good idea. Just do exactly what you wrote was go for the cheaper , than save and afterwards be able to get exactly what you want.
Sometimes we just have to take it one step at a time. Just be patient and in due time you will have exactly what you want and love. Plus you mention living in it for a year. A year goes by so quickly so yes just take that sacrifice and save your money.
I hope it all works out for you and your husband.
